Miniature Pinscher Club: Judging Criteria

A1 List

For people who have previously been approved by the Kennel Club to award CCs in this breed and have the support of the Miniature Pinscher Club.

A2 List

For people who fulfil all the requirements for the A3 list and who have been assessed in accordance with Kennel Club requirements and accepted by the Kennel Club for inclusion on an A2 list and have the support of the Miniature Pinscher Club

A3 List (Breed Specialists)

  1. To have a minimum of 7 years’ judging experience in the breed and have the support of the Miniature Pinscher Club.
  2. To have judged at an open show of the breed, a breed supported entry show or a championship show with at least 10 classes of Miniature Pinschers but without CCs.
  3. To have judged a minimum of 30 classes of Miniature Pinschers.
  4. To have judged a minimum of 100 Miniature Pinschers.
  5. To have bred and/or owned a minimum of 3 dogs when they obtained their first entry in the Kennel Club Stud Book (save in exceptional circumstances).
  6. To have attended at least 1 breed specific seminar run in accordance with the relevant Kennel Club Code of Best Practice and passed an examination and/or assessment where applicable.
  7. To have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer and passed the relevant examination on Kennel Club Regulations and Judging Procedures.
  8. To have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer on Conformation and Movement.
  9. To have stewarded over a minimum period of 3 years and at 12 shows

A3 List (Non Specialists)

  1. To have a minimum of 7 years’ judging experience in any 1 breed (to include 5 years in this breed) and have the support of the Miniature Pinscher Club.
  2. To have judged at an open show of the breed, a breed supported entry show or a championship show with at least 10 classes of Miniature Pinschers but without CCs.
  3. To have judged a minimum of 40 classes of Miniature Pinschers.
  4. To have judged a minimum of 120 Miniature Pinschers.
  5. To have bred and/or owned a minimum of 3 dogs of any breed when they obtained their first entry in the Kennel Club Stud Book (save in exceptional circumstances).
  6. To have attended at least 1 breed specific seminar run in accordance with the relevant Kennel Club Code of Best Practice and passed an examination and/or assessment where applicable.
  7. To have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer and passed the relevant examination on Kennel Club Regulations and Judging Procedures.
  8. To have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer on Conformation and Movement.
  9. To have stewarded over a minimum period of 3 years and at 12 shows.
  10. To have awarded CCs in at least 1 other breed

B List (Breed Specialists)

  1. To have at least 3 years’ experience of owning and exhibiting this breed and have the support of the Miniature Pinscher Club.
  2. To have judged a minimum of 10 classes of Miniature Pinschers at open shows or championship shows without CCs.
  3. To have judged a minimum of 30 Miniature Pinschers.
  4. To have attended a breed judging seminar and passed an assessment where applicable

B List (Non Specialists)

  1. To have at least 5 years’ judging experience in any 1 breed and have the support of the Miniature Pinscher Club.
  2. To have judged a minimum of 10 classes of Miniature Pinschers at open shows or championship shows without CCs (save in exceptional circumstances).
  3. To have judged a minimum of 30 Miniature Pinschers.
  4. To have attended a breed judging seminar and passed an assessment where applicable

C List

For aspirant judges who have shown an interest in the breed and have the support of the Miniature Pinscher Club. This list would normally included people who have judged the breed at limited and/or open shows but do not yet qualify for the B List.
